Originally from Missouri, Melissa has been writing her whole life. She is absolutely passionate about both her writing and the written word of others. Melissa’s writings have been featured in professional and mainstream publications, blogs, website copy, marketing campaigns, and business communications. She is thrilled to have released her first novel The Purpose of Destiny. With a history as a health care provider and cancer survivor, she is no stranger to overcoming struggles, the power of healing, and helping others overcome adversities with reliance on her faith in God.

Melissa relishes in using writing to encourage others through their struggles via a creative storyline and interesting characters. She is also very excited to have launched C&M United Publishing with The Purpose of Destiny co-author, Chet North. Melissa has long lived in the Kansas City area with her family and they have recently taken the leap to Sarasota, FL. When not writing, she is seen spending time outdoors, working out, listening to live music, appreciating art, and traveling. Her favorite joys are family, food, friends, and fun.
